Ownership: Not-for-profit group of 16 communities, with profit sharing for laborers

Labor: 384 women in the rural north of Ghana

Products: Shea (gathered, processed), Baobab (gathered, processed)

Harvest Season: January – April (baobab), April – August (shea)

Shelf Life: 3 years (baobab powder, oil), 2 years (shea butter, oil)

Product Quality: Each batch of powder is screened by hand by managers of the organization. Skilled manual techniques and basic machinery are used to process products. Laborers are trained by Ghanaian and international non-profit extension services providers.
